Character: Andre Pisciotta (it was originally Andrea, the Italian form of the name, but in recent years he has used the French form to avoid being mistaken for a woman)

Type: human (vampiric human servant)

Appearance: Andre is 5'10", thinly built. His hair is silvered gray with just a little black still in it. It's thick and wavy and worn combed back off his forehead. Prominent nose. Full lips. Hazel eyes. Not classically handsome, he is still attractive. He was 59 when he became a human servant. He's now approximately 130-135 years old.

Background: Andre was an Italian opera singer. When he started to lose his voice, he turned to composing. As a child he had heard Castrati occasionally. The practice was dying out and the last one he heard was Alessandro Moreschi singing at the Sistine Chapel. He had become haunted with the sound of the Castrati's voice. Even though there were no more Castrati, he wrote music that begged to be sung by a Castrati. Women contralto's and sopranos were but pale substitutes.  He met Maggie just when he was about to give up on his ‘difficult’ music.  For a while he was fooled into believing the woman with the golden voice was just that, a woman. Andre convinced her to sing his music. Eventually he learned the truth about Maggie. This almost destroyed their relationship, but the mutual attraction and love between them couldn’t be ignored. He returned to her side and eventually took the first mark toward becoming a human servant. After her sire, Riccardo, was killed, they left Italy for the U.S. He continues to compose and runs Maggie's affairs so she can handle the Council matters.

Abilities, talents, weaknesses: Andre has learned some self defense and how to fire a gun. He’s also very observant in new settings. Like many human servants, he takes his vampire’s safety seriously. He’s a talented composer, having written operas and scores for movies. His voice was given a bit of a boost when he became a human servant, but he has remained behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. He has inherited the quick healing and tougher body that all human servants obtain. He can speak with Maggie telepathically due to the 4 marks. But he can’t with anyone else. Maggie is his strength and weakness. Kill her and you’d kill him. Hurt her and he’ll get a backlash from it.
