Age: I am 18.

Character: Danielle T. Colleen

Age:   My character looks to be 16, but in her  case she will look 16 for the rest of her life. Her actual age is 21.

Nature: Danielle is a white tiger, a shifter, but not a lycanthrope. She was transformed into a mages familiar. The mage liked exotic things and especially tigers. He made Danielle into his familiar and also transformed her into a shape shifter.

Description: Danielle knows that she isn't model perfect, but she isn't an eye sore either. Danielle is 5'9" tall and three feet of that is all leg. She has a trim waist ( not skinny, just thin ), your basic hour glass figure. Her hair is the thing that most people notice before all else. It is brown with red and blond high lights and almost reaches to the back of her thighs and is silky smooth. Danielle's face is more pretty then beautiful. With almond shaped eyes the color of royal blue and freckles that are cute and give her a fun look, she is more likely to look like your kid sister. She has an up turned nose and full lips that curve into the brightest and friendliest smiles that make you want to smile with her. All around, she looks like a nice person who doesn't rock the boat. Get her in an argument, and the chin juts out and she can be the most stubborn person you have ever run into. Her were form is a bit more exotic. She is large as big cats go and there isn't an in between shape for her, she is either human or tiger. Her fur is pure white with chocolate brown stripes. The fur has the feel of really good silk. The eyes are her most captivating feature. They are that ocean blue that you see around Hawaii and the Caribbean and are flecked with silver. They seem to capture you, not with power, but with an intelligence that you can see and almost feel like a weight.

Personality: Danielle is the first person to laugh and smile. But there is something about her, as if she doesn't let you see all of who she is, as if she is holding back. This doesn't mean that she isn't friendly. In fact, it is just the opposite, she is very friendly. Danielle loves to debate but she isn't very good at it because she shows all of her emotions on the surface ( which, in her case is bad because her shifting isn't dependent on the moon, but on strong emotions) and anyone skilled at debate will beat her. But she is stubborn enough that she wins many arguments. Danielle is one of those people you see on the street and you immediately like them or in the very least wouldn't think to pick on. Every one likes and trusts her right off. She asked one of her friends why people trusted her so easily and her friend said that she just looked so innocent. Danielle just laughed at that. One of the things that she is good at is listening and understanding. She is able to completely place her self into some one else's shoes and understanding where they are coming from. Danielle is very crafty and intelligent (but she is still human in the sense that she still make stupid mistakes form time to time. Hey, no one is perfect). She is smart enough to get her self out of almost any problem and hopefully without hurting anyone in the process. Though she is good at understanding, she doesn't seem to be a very good judge of character. Danielle sometimes tries to understand so much that she pushes what bad things they have done to the side. She has been hurt many times like this but still she tries to give every one the benefit of the doubt.

Special Talents & Abilities: One of Danielle's talents came before she became a shifter. For instance, she had an unusual affinity with animals. The meanest of dogs would cuddle with her. Sometimes she felt closer to the animals than to people. When the spell that made her the mage's familiar was cast, her natural abilities were enhanced but not that much. She did seem to gain control of animals, though it was not complete control. She also gained an uncanny ability to heal animals. But she could not heal them the same way that some lycanthropes could heal other weres in their group. It was more similar to the laying on of hands. Danielle seems to think that the spell that made her immortal also seemed to give her the ability to share her stamina with animals, allowing her to heal them. Though she did notice that she couldn't do the same with humans. But this gift also took a toll from her. The more healing required, the more drained she became. Also, after the transformation, she became very sensitive to power and other people's magical potential. Sometimes, when she came into contact with some one extremely powerful, she would be overwhelmed and it would accidentally cause her to shift. This motivated her to learn great control because between strong emotions and others power, she felt out of control. Other then these powers, she gained the speed, agility, and healing capabilities of normal lycanthropes.

Background Information:  Danielle was born in 1977 to a middle class family in the California Sierras. Ever since she reached puberty she knew she was different. Animals had a strange affection for her, which pegged her as strange in her small town. Most of the time she would try to hide it, but it wasn't easy. She spent allot of time reading about the supernatural and found that she wasn't alone. But that didn't help since she didn't know them personally and couldn't talk about it with any one. She hung out in a club that had a reputation for attracting strange clientele, hoping to run into some one who understood what she was going through. That is where Danielle ran into Damian. Every thing was dark about him, his eyes, hair, skin. He looked villainous, but doing what she always did, Danielle tried not to base what she thought of him on his looks. They talked for a long time and eventually she told him about how animals just seemed to really like her. Damian seemed interested and offered to teach her about what might cause this and it's meaning. Danielle jumped at this for she was tired of living in the dark and wanted to know why this was happening to her. There was one catch, Damian told her. He said that he needed someone to help him with his magic and the like. Until that moment, Danielle hadn't known he was into that sort of thing, but then, she thought it might be interesting to lean about that so she agreed. Damian told her to meet him at his place and they would set up the arrangements.

Danielle met Damian at the appointed time and they discussed things. She would live at home but spend the time that wasn't taken up by school with him. That was all right with her and she was hardly home so her parents wouldn't even notice. as the night wore on, he offered her a drink. Danielle took it but after she finished it, she began to get tired and could barely keep her eyes open. It occurred to her that Damian might have spiked the drink with something but by then it was too late.

When she woke up Danielle was still at Damian's house. When he noticed that she was conscious, he told her what he had done. What he had done, Danielle came to understand, was that he had made her into his familiar and in the process had cast an experimental spell on her. The spell was for immortal life. Apparently it succeeded because Damian was all too pleased. Danielle was also told that she would now turn into a tiger and that she was his. That more then anything else scared her. She was unusual before, now she truly was different. But the arrangement was the same, she would live at home and go to school. But she would have to learn better self control because she seemed to change when ever she felt any strong emotion. Damian also offered to pay her a handsome fee for doing this ( although against her will) and after a while she acquired quit a bit of money which she saved since she didn't know what to spend it on.

After she graduated, she spent more time over there but she tried to avoid all his spells and stuff. She helped when he needed a power boost or when he went to meet other Mages but other then that she tried to keep a distance. Finally she had had enough and snuck out, leaving Damian and hoping he wouldn't find her. She decided to go to Maine. It was on the other side of the country (surly he wouldn't find her there. While she was looking for possible places to live, she came across Sanctuary. Danielle liked the name and it seemed that it was just what she needed. Danielle is currently renting an apartment but she is saving her money to buy a small house in a wooded place. She is looking to get a job at a vets office in town and is currently taking a class at a local collage for becoming a vets tech. She is still saving her money so she is using student loans to pay for everything.
