Ray Helsing

Player Name:  Jp LaFond

Email:  jp@connact.com

Age: 35yo (July 7, 1962)

Character:  Ray Helsing

Nature: Cursed human.

Age: 30s

Description: 6', stocky/bulky build, world weary face with a certain charm that shows the broken nose and cauliflower ears of his time in the golden gloves back in NYC.

Personality: Ray is a bigot. He dislikes freaks (anything not human) and thinks the country was a damn sight better off, when they were killed rather than coddled. Recognizing them as living people with rights is the dumbest thing that Washington has done yet. He cares about his friends and fights fiercely for them. He is single-minded, when trying to solve a problem. He's bright, but very direct. Subtlty might work better, but Ray prefers to wade in and charge toward his target.

Special Talents/Abilities: Downside, magically/psychically marked as an enemy of vampires which brings with it various negative reactions from the vampiric community. Upside, partial resistance to vampiric mind powers and the ability to see auras. Also, he finds himself with odd bits of knowledge from his father at times. He's a good fighter with a rough and tumble fighting style showing the quick footedness and strong punches of his days in the golden gloves. He's a good shot with a pistol. He also has a practical knowledge of police procedures from his time with the NYC police department. If he wasn't a bigot, he would have made detective years ago. Now that his father has passed on, he also has enough money to live off of,  his father's detective agency and the brownstone.

Background Info: Ray grew up in NYC his whole life. He was brought up with Irish Catholic working class beliefs, but the core of his personality was pretty much trying to live up to his father that left them when he was 13. He has a good relationship with his mother, but the distant relationship with his father always drove him. He's been in Sanctuary for the last week or so, trying to put his father's things in order and trying to find out who killed his father.
