Character: Jasper Witherspoon Character Age: 48 Nature: Very Human Physical Description: 6' 1", 200ish lbs, sandy brown hair, Jasper is tending to paunch and thinning hair. His face would never stand out in a crowd. One winning feature is his resonant voice. Personality: Political wanna be. Jasper is the only son of an OLD Sanctuary family. He is very proud of his family line and it's old money. Jasper has tried to run for almost every office he could manage. No wins. His father founded the Sanctuary chapter of CAOS and ran the group. Jasper inherited his money and his leadership of the group. He is also a meber of the BoD for the national organization. This gives him the chance to have a platform for soundbites for (ostensibly) more than his own opinion. Isn't it amazing that if you call yourself a Leader sooner or later people will just start to follow you. Abilities: A total belief in his own worth. Jasper also believes that he is RIGHT and that all of Christianity is behind him. God is not just his copilot, Jasper sometimes gives Him suggestions for the proper running of things. History: There are nasty rumors that some of Jasper's ancestry might have been involved in some way with the non human population of Sanctuary. Slight gaps in the family album not with standing, Jasper will deny all such claims vehemently. (he is related to Eleanor through a human witch who married into theWitherspoon family)And believes his denials. The family money was made in the mid to late 1800's by canning Maine's wild blueberries. The Witherspoon holdings include major tracts of mid-coastal land, the privately held Witherspoon Canning Co., a wonderful old berg of a house in Raven's Cove and enough $$$$ to fund Jasper's political dreams without daunting his wife's charge accounts or Jr's. Harvard funds. He also runs the Witherspoon Institute, which is dedicated to fighting for the rights of humans and opposing supernatural rights (ie, he and a bunch of lawyers to the right of Pat Robertson take cases pro bono). Yes, Jasper is a lawyer . Wouldn't you just know? His slogan is "Of sanctuary, For Sanctuary." Unfortunately his version of Sanctuary is sadly limited.
