Age: >17

Character:  Jenny Curtiss

Nature:  Wiccan witch, psychometrist

Age:  29

Description: Jen is short, somewhat stocky, and not particularly attractive at first notice. A patient observer might see that her eyes are a nice shade of brown, or notice the auburn highlights in her brown hair. She does exude a sense of confidence and contentment with her lot, and it is this that had drawn some to see past her plain facade.

Personality: Generally good-natured, Jen enjoys a somewhat sarcastic sense of humor. As one of relatively few women in a 'male' profession, she sometimes tries too hard to be 'one of the boys'. Swearing, insults, double entendre, and friendly ribbing--she gives as good as she gets, and secretly, she enjoys this give and take. Beneath it all is a good healthy 'pilot ego', which can occasionally lead her in over her head. She tempers this with good judgment, common sense, survival instinct and fear of governmental retribution. As a teacher, she is still new enough to be enthusiastic, perhaps overly so. At heart she's a romantic.

Special Talents or Abilities: Jen's clairvoyance is one of the reasons she turned to Wicca and pursued her minor in parapsychology. It usually manifests through touch, allowing her to sometimes 'read' objects. It's a pretty spotty and inconstant ability. As a witch, she realizes she'll never be more than a dabbler, and this bothers her. When she does practice, it's alone; she's solitary and likes it that way. She enjoys working with the Tarot, and tries hard to put her small abilities to work through dreams and visualization, but really she feels a bit of a fraud in this area.

Background Info: Born in Houston, Jen is a native Texan and recent transplant to Sanctuary. She had a happy, normal childhood, did well at her studies, and went to a state university. For many years it seemed she'd never make up her mind just what she wanted to do with her life. Eventually she decided on psychology, and began to work towards becoming a counselor. Her clairvoyance led her to investigate the preternatural, and she picked that field as her minor. Along the way she became convinced she'd led a former life as a WWII fighter pilot, though she has yet to confirm this in any way beyond mere wishful thinking. After graduating with a masters, she started her internship as a counselor. This did not pay well, but it allowed her enough disposable income to pursue her desire to fly, and she promptly enrolled at a local flight school. Along the way, she realized her heart was not in counseling. Throwing her fate to the winds, she decided to become a professional pilot. She's just earned her flight instructor's certificate. Young pilots go where the jobs are, and she found herself hired sight unseen by a flight school at a Class D field in Maine. Gritting her teeth, she packed up lock, stock and fat Siamese cat, and relocated. Now, far from home, she must begin a new life and a new career in this town of Sanctuary.
