Appearance: Kirsten has sparkling green eyes, hidden behind small black glasses. She has small, delicate features, with high cheekbones and lush lips. Her jet black hair is worn extremely short, both for ease and comfort-she previously wore it to her waist, but necessity forced her to forego vanity and keep it short. She's not one for makeup, especially since it's rather difficult for her to apply. She doesn't dwell on her looks, and wears simple clothing like jeans and slacks, with an occasional skirt tossed in for variety.

Personality: Extremely independent and cautious around new people-can be caustically bitter at times. She's blind, and depends a great deal on her seeing-eye dog, Angus, a black Lab. She hates her disability, and tries to pretend it doesn't exist most of the time. Hates being coddled or 'watched' over.

History: Kirsten grew up in a very close knit family in Upstate New York. Her father died when she was ten, but her mother was incredibly loving and had the support of the rest of her huge Irish clan. Many of mothers side of the family were practicing witches (Family Faery Trad) Her mother tried to instill many of the lessons she had in turn learned from her mother. Kirsten was a reluctant student; even though, her mother tried to inform her many times that their family was a noble one, with a distant Fey lineage-all of which Kirsten discounted. Then she started displaying a mild talent for telekinesis and telepathy in her late teens. Suddenly gifted with these abilities, she turned to her mother for guidance to learn proper control, shielding techniques, and the family witchcraft tradition. When Kirsten was 18, her mother died of cancer. Suddenly left alone but for cousins and an aunt, Kirsten found herself with a nice trust fund (her father was old money). She moved to New York City and started doing the party circuit, splurging her money and bouncing from man to man-very spoiled and willful. She was quite content with her lifestyle until two years ago when the car she and a current beau were driving in skidded off the road coming back from a party in the Hamptons (yes, they were both drunk-he was driving). The date was killed instantly and Kirsten was thrown from the vehicle and sustained head injuries so severe she was blinded permanently.

The past two years have all been about recovery and rehabilitation. She's ignored her witchcraft studies and shielded herself tightly since her mothers death, although both talents are inherent in her blood. Her telekinesis is obviously null at this point since it relied mostly on sight. She recently moved to Sanctuary to get as far away from her family as possible and refuses all contact with them, sure that they feel only pity for her.
