NAME: Rodney Doom

CHARACTER'S AGE: 29

NATURE: Baby Vampire

DESCRIPTION: Rodney is a very plain looking young man. He still wears glasses which he is convinced he needs them. He looks like a typical computer geek nerd with glasses, and short brown hair.

PERSONALITY: Rodney is convinced he is dying of illness, in addition he's terrified of germs. He is a classic hypochondriac and the person most likely to say, 'We're doomed!!!!' in any situation. Rodney doesn't understand people and tends to get along better with computers.

ABILITIES: Stronger and quicker than humans, heals quickly, Rodney sometimes accidentally mesmerizes people, but as he doesn't believe he's a vampire doesn't consciously use it.

HISTORY: Rodney was born in Toronto, Ontario. His father was a member of the American embassy and his mother was a Canadian citizen. His parents fell in love and married and soon after Rodney was born. Due to his parents being from different countries, Rodney has dual-citizenship.

Rodney's parents were over-protective. His mother was obsessive about germs and has passed the trait onto Rodney. In addition, his mother was convinced that there was always something wrong with Rodney, a trait that later led him to become a hypochondriac.

Rodney moved to Montreal, five years ago to join a firm as a computer programmer During his time in Montreal he met Cherise LeBlanc a Vampire. Rodney convinced Cherise he was dying of a fatal illness. Cherise loved Rodney and turned him into a vampire to cure his disease. Later, Cherise came to realize that Rodney's disease was not real. Rodney has been a thorn in her side since he became a vampire. The master of Montreal ordered Cherise to get Rodney out of her city and preferably out of Canada. The last straw for both vampires was when Rodney insisted he could only drink blood from the blood bank that had been boiled. Due to Cherise's status as a favoured pet, the Lord of Montreal agreed that Rodney could 'live'. Cherise arranged to have Rodney shipped out of the country and sent him to Sanctuary.

Rodney is unaware of these arrangements and merely thinks he and Cherise are travelling to another city.

Rodney does not fully understand he is a vampire. He thinks he has a serious illness that causes him to burn when he steps into sunlight and has to drink blood. Quite simply, Rodney is insane. He is aware of the existence of vampires, but refuses to accept he is one, because if he was one he wouldn't have to worry about dying anymore. This would destroy Rodney's delusional world and in all probability destroy his mind.

Cherise still loves Rodney even with all his faults, and arranged for him to be shipped to Sanctuary, where perhaps his oddities will be more accepted. She sent him to the Lord of Sanctuary, who she hopes will place Rodney under his protection and prevent other vampires from killing him.

Rodney is a computer genius. He almost-intuitively understands computers. His main hobbies are to hack into government computers and find out what new viruses the government is hiding from us. Rodney has been known to log onto the internet and reveal the latest viruses because the public has a right to know. He also will often send the CIA little notes telling them what backdoor he managed to get into their system this time. He can hack into almost anything. However, Rodney doesn't use his talents for an evil purpose. Although, it would be easy to manipulate Rodney into doing something evil as he doesn't understand people very well. Rodney currently is out of work. However, with a PHD in computer science from Waterloo, he is very employable. In addition, his work experience is extensive.
