History: Born Azhim Taj Al Qaiyyum in the Moorish City of Granada. Taj became a servant to Abu-Abdullah, Boabdil, in 1488. After the fall of Granada in 1492, Taj continued to serve Boabdil after his exile to his estate in Spain and later in Fes in Morocco. He had become fluent in Arabic, Spanish, English, French, and Italian. Proficient with mathematics, cartography, and navigation, during his service to Boabdil. Boabdil trusted Taj immensely and counted him as a friend, advisor, and protector. He was deadly proficient with sword and gun. In 1511Taj was turned while on business in Rabat. He then disappeared. He spent many years in service to his new master. He resurfaced in 1569. In the service of Juan de Austria as a spy during the Moorish revolt in Granada and again in 1572 during Don Juan92s campaign against the Ottoman Turks. According to reports of the time he was seen in the shadows while Juan served as Governor- General of the Netherlands between 1576 and 1578.
For the next 100 years Taj was a pirate along the Barbary Coast, His flag was one of the most feared by fellow pirates, as it was said that few ships taken by the dread pirate ever yielded survivors. As the Americas began to prosper, Taj moved his ventures to the Caribbean. There he made himself and his master very rich.
In 1703, during a bloody coup, Taj's Sire became Lord of Port Royale. Taj was his bodyguard. His Sire ruled with an iron fist. He became extremely abusive and unstable. After covert meetings with the Lords of the nearby, greater cities. Taj turned his back as his Sire was sent to eternal death. It was an event, which changed Taj's life forever.
Although loyal to the North American Council, Taj was never made part of the council. He was far more useful in the capacity of a servant to the council than as member. Over the last 290+ years he has been a bodyguard to Lords of the Great Cities. He has been seen in photographs held by the FBI in such circles as Malcolm Shabazz and the Black Panthers. Though no name has ever been placed to the face, or connection to the other case photos ever been made.
His last assignment was as a protector to the Lord of Los Angeles, who he had been in service to since 1968.
He now finds himself on a plane to Sanctuary, Maine.
