Call him Cat or Tom, just not kitty. He hates being called kitty.

Age: 18

Name:  Cat or Tom

Race: house/alley cat

Appearance: Cat's a large black tom cat (NOT neutered, thank you very much) with four white mittens and bright green eyes.

Personality: Cat is scaucy, nosy, sneaky, perverse, precocious, and practices being mysterious and cryptic. He tends to take a bit of a patronising attitude towards humans, a slightly better one towards weres (except rats. He thinks of them as giant prey and doesn't seem to accept the fact that they are much, much bigger than he is), thinks of were-cats as little siblings, and views vampires as fellow creatures of the night.

Abilities: Cat can communicate telepathically with who ever he chooses to, but unfortunatly, he enjoys being cryptic, and when he's not being frustratingly obscure, he's being frustratingly chatty. He can also make himself appear larger then he is for a breif period of time (only to about the size of a medium sized dog) and open locks and doors telekenetically.

Weaknesses: He's a cat. Run over his with a car and he's roadkill. Shoot him and he'll splatter, drop him from a ten story building and although he'll land on his feet, he'll still be a pancake. You get the picture.

History: Cat's first incarnation was as one of the cats in Bubastis in ancient Egypt, and he's never forgotten. The Egyptian Cats posessed luxury that which ordinairy cats dream of, and those descended from the privelaged Egyptian stock have been blessed by Bastet with the power of communication, which has been transfered along with their souls to each of their lives. His second incarnation was unremarkable, as he was the presiding tom in a farmer's barn. His third incarnation, however, was a different story. He was born the third (and favored) son of the legendary cat Grimalkin who's witch powers have made him famous throughout the world and have given cats their association with the black arts. Grimalkin took his son under his wing, to a certain extent, and taught him a few tricks such as making one's self seem larger than reality (useful for chasing off dogs) and the ability to open locks through telekenesis. Unfortunatly Cat wasn't as focused as his father and took more enjoyment in running around chasing birds and didn't learn as much as his noble father tried to teach him.

His fourth incarnation was as a ship's cat, which proved to be short lived when he was swept overboard in a storm. This has resulted in a dislike for water that goes beyond the ordinary cat's inborn aversion, although it did teach him how to swim. Cat's fifth incarnation was also rather interesting as he became the reason why Napoleon hated cats as much as he did.

His sixth incarnation was as a witch's familiar, which was a job that he quite enjoyed. Unfortunatly this also proved to be short lived when his partner witch and himself were burned at the stake.

Now Cat is on to his seventh incarnation, and has been reborn as a black tom in Sanctuary, Maine ...
