Description: When not appearing as AoD, he's male(as a human); when on duty, it varies with the person's concept of what Death looks like(hmmm...to vampires he may well resemble Edward! scary thought!) ; highly variable. But when he decides to walk among men it's as a male, 6', black hair, shoulder length, eyes midnight blue, perfect features, perfect body build
Background: an Angel with a sense of humor. Has to be in his line of work. One of the Seven Archangels. Since an angel was deemed needed to help halt the impending Armeggedon Hell was pushing for, and the first attempt at contact was unsuccessful and the angel was recalled by Michael(he seemed too easily corruptable for the job if the earth tempted him) a new one needed to step in...well, this one is less of a messenger, more of an observer with a little push here and there. After all, this is a war we are talking about. And while he's not supposed to actively get in on the action...what's a little advice among friends?
Uriel is the Angel of Death, one foot planted on Earth and one in Heaven, and by God, he likes humans! He also has an interest in several of the Fallen Angels. While Michael and Gabriel think they made their bed and should lie in it, he's put his head together with Mary (who do you think helps her find all the windows to open in heaven to sneak in some of those sinners God wasn't going to let in...and not even God argues with Jesus' mother) and thinks it would be a good idea to show other of the Fallen that forgiveness is possible for them...not easy, but possible.
So hang onto your seats, Uriel is about to arrive!
