Barbara Akers...UgitC's Keeper...
Okay, darlings, time for my intro-
39 y/o female. I work as Technical Supervisor for SmithKline Beecham Clinical
Labs in Kansas City. Married with kid.
I read, sketch/paint(as you'll seen on Sanctuary's Character bio site), do
counted crossstitch,write(obviously), etc.
I have a strange sense of humor as evidenced by some of my characters. My
current characters are:
Lee Snypes...LotL (Master vamp)
Tony Ellis...werewolf and human servant to Lee
Maggie Critelli...Master Vamp, member of Vampire Council
Andrea(Andre)Pisciotta...Maggie's human servant
UgitC...um, whatever he is..Shadow Walker
SwLH...UgitC's mom...Shadow Walker with attitude
Tommy Gunn...Fallen Angel/Incubus
Drew Haze...Fallen Angel/Incubus
Fr. Andrew Redle...Exorcist and Catholic Priest...and wererat
Nikki...baby vamp, empathic
Javier...vamp executioner
Am I forgetting anyone? (Oh yeah, courtesy of Ehrich-hi, bud!-I'll do
Samantha Tengo, John Windsor, and his crew of evil doers)
Sue...the Newlywed...
I'm Sue Mohr, call me Sue, actually, you can call me nearly anything except
Suzie without getting me *too* mad. I write Tavia and Antio, and will be
working up Antio's werewolf "servant" at whatever point we're accepting new
characters (I think I submitted him to MB but I can't for the life of me
remember for sure *L* so I'll just redo him)
I'm 27, brand-newly married (as of the 20th), Keltrian druid
by religion, and do a variety of folk arts and such, I seem to have a talent
for string. I have a degree in Sociology, but have a debilitating chronic
illness that prevents me from having any sort of real job, and so I'm working
more on my writing now.
I live in North Dakota with my ... husband (still getting used to saying
it!) he works for the Army Corps of Engineers as a civilian worker, so only
the gods know where we'll be a year from now. We have two cats, I have five
ferrets, and my 33 year old Arab mare stays here at my parents.
I've been writing since before I could write...(if that makes sense) my father
wanted me to compose a poem for a local mag that he was editing at the time,
I could read but not write. I did mostly poetry in my childhood (in fact,
something I wrote and drew when I was about six came back to haunt me as
a wedding gift :P) but work with mostly fantasy now. I'm finally getting
myself to the point where I'm going to actually start seriously writing for
publication soon.
Let me see...I can't think of anything else offhand, I don't mind questions
so feel free to ask if you want to know something :-)
Glad to be here, though I will be on my honeymoon when we start!
Kelly Rhodes...Flying Higher than a Kite!
I'm Kelly Rhodes. Since we have a Kelly, y'all can refer to me as KellyR,
or Pancho if you prefer. :) I'm 32, single, pagan, of Irish descent--I've
spent my share of time tromping around chasing ancient monuments about the
Irish countryside and singing Celtic folk songs around snapping fires...I'm
a native Texan and live in Houston. I've been a roleplayer since high school.
I have a degree in Telecommunications and a law degree, and to make a living
I (along with Mom) own and run personal care homes. My particular obsession
is flying, and at the moment I'm training to become a flight instructor.
My heart is in the 1940s. I have four cats and one horse. For fun I read,
write, draw, dabble in herbalism, and collect toys and various other things.
I run Jenny Curtiss, witchy/psychometrist flight instructor, and all the
various NPCs associated with her and the airport, Elysian Field. Jenny is
at the moment delving into the mystery left behind by the man who built the
airport, who was apparently a witch, too. Seems he was up to something centering
around the Sabbats. Oh, and something nasty has tried to kill her there.
To top it off, it appears that a certain shadowy Unknown Guy has taken a
fancy to her...yikes! Jenny, her friends and I will be happy to accommodate
Your Plot Needs. We're always open to interested parties, though
I join the consensus in asking that notice be given first.
Ben Miller...the Resident Flirt
Ladies and Gentlemen of SANCTUARY,
Well since so many of us have written introducing ourselves and telling a
little bit about, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know something
about me. (the one who writes Namir)
I am 41 years young, soon to be 42. Male, at least the last time I looked.
Married, extremely happily for ten years now, to the most stunning redhead
you'd ever want to meet (the lady Gil, who writes Maeve and several others).
I am the father, at least they think of me that way, of four lovely furry
children, my cats. There is Ilya, our Russian Blue and the oldest; Tora-Chan,
my baby boy, a perfect mackerel tabby and very large (at twenty lbs.) and
he is a sweetheart. My little girl MiKe (pronounced as Mee-kay) a Japanese
calico, she has a stub tail and is simply adorable. And last but not the
least, our newest child, Lamis, (yes she is named in honor of the lovely
dancer). Lamis is Gil's baby and is a gorgeous Maine Coon, with shadow smoky
tortoise markings (like her name sake she is beautiful).
A little about me: Hum... let's see. I have been in the U. S. military for
the last 17 years. We, (Gil and I) live in Japan were we've been for the
last four years and will be until the year 2001. Love the place, except the
traffic. I have traveled extensively all over the world and do love to do
so. (Europe is absolutely fabulous!!!).
No I won't tell you where I'm originally from, (Brenda do so and you get
that cute little fanny of yours thoroughly spanked! *L*). Hopefully when
I retire from the military I will be returning to the north east and living
in the Maine area.
HOBBIES:
Well, the writing of course. Though this is very new to me I've found I really
enjoy doing so. (my highschool and collage instructors would be floored by
this!) Flirting (yea, as if you couldn't guess!). I've thought long and hard
about this next one and have decide what the hell, at the risk of sounding
sexist (and believe me it is not ment to sound this way, just being honest)
Women. Why, you ask? Because I find the stronger and lovelier of the sexs
to be marvelously fascinating!!! Writing with so many talented ladies has
opened up a whole new vinue concerning the ladies to me. It affords me an
opportunity to flirt in much the same manner I always have plus the added
strictly intellectual side. So ladies thank you all!
Bead working. Love to do necklaces and earrings. And yes, I know that I owe
several of you pieces. So ladies please let me know the color (s) that you
wish and I will get on it. (Alex, I'm working on finishing up your necklace
and will be starting the earrings soon!) Sword work, both heavy and the lighter
weapons. Costume working, paticulary love to work with leather. And I guess
that's about all folks. (got to leave a little mystery! *tease*)
Thank you
Ben
Namir al-khalid Adar Ibn Yuesf
Clint...not the country singer
Yeah, I haven't posted to the list yet, but I'm here. Been *real* busy lately.
Just got a promotion back to the job that I got demoted from in the first
place. My life is like that.
Speaking of my life...
I'm a 32 year old male, married, with a dog. Born and raised in Hickory,
NC, I spent a little time living in Altanta. Decided I wasn't a fan of Big
Cities. Having someone walk up to you and ask, "Are you closing early? The
rioters are headed this way," will do that to you.
Soon, I will be back to working as Production and Scheduling Manager for
Old Hickory Tannery, a high-end upholstered furniture manufacturer. Oddly
enough, the owner and I share the same last name and a certain physical
resemblance. The rumors of paternity are hotly contested. (My vote's for
the milkman.)
Hobbies? I used to have those. Can you tell me what they looked like? I seem
to remember books and dice and little lead people. Oh yes, and pizza. *Lots*
of pizza.
BTW, some people say I changed my name to Clint Black just to pretend that
I was married to Lisa Hartman. Don't believe them. They may also say I'm
being held in an institution for my own protection. They say ANYTHING!!.
They won't SHUT UP!!! WHY WON'T THEY LEAVE ME ALONE?!?!
Oh, sorry. Time for my pills.
Clint Black
Andreas....also known as drayb
My real name is Andreas. . .I reside in the Southeast. . .Greenville, South
Carolina to be exact. Moved there from Charlotte, North Carolina and if I
ever move again it will be to Atlanta. I am 28 years old and growing (smile).
I am the System Analyst for a non-profit social service agency by the name
of SHARE Head Start. I am also enrolled at Clemson University's masters program
in HRD. Now to my description, I'm 5'6 (sometimes 5'7 or 8 depending on heels);
I'm medium build but that fluctuates with the seasons. In the summer I'm
all toned up and in the winter, who cares I'm wrapped up. I have dirty brown
hair which everyone says matches my greenvish-brown eyes but to me I come
out looking dusty. If you ever saw the movie, Eve's Bayou, and saw Eve. .
.that's me--if you add a little more red to her skin versus yellow--many,
many moons ago. I'm African American with roots here, there and yonder but
in America what can I say. . .so I'm hodge-podge. I call myself dusty because
my skin tone has reddish undertones that make it an odd color or it could
be my father's grandmother was Indian. . .his father really took her traits.
I love to read, dance and research. I'm Catholic and when I will actually
become a "Practicing Catholic" is when I throw away the birth control pills.
Ummm. . . .let's see. . . .I'm seperated (sigh)...and I love writing with
you guyz!!! Peace and Love
Ethaina...beware of India!
Greetings All!
Thought I would jump on the bandwagon....you know me as Ethaina but entered
this world as Lori Gallagher and added the Stewart six years ago after marrying
and have a long line of Irish ancestors of which I am very proud. I'm a 27
year old solitary ecclectic Wiccan from northern Kentucky(you have to drive
three hours to find a coven around here!) and have a Bachelors degree in
Radiologic Technology, work in a 110 bed hospital(o.k. so it's not straight
out of ER but boy could I tell you some stories!). Due to RL and a husband,
the anthropology career I'd planned sort of faded into oblivion but I at
least have time to write a little. I'm a voracious reader which led to email
RPG's about a year ago and has escalted from there, love photography, herbalism,
many more things than you've got time to read and am a comfirmed pack rat.
The following characters will be transferring from the Bay
India: A succubus and manager of The Fallen Angels
Niall: An Unseelie lurking around, waiting on instructions for one final
assignment before he applies to the Seelie court to claim his heritage on
the basis that his mother was Seelie, thus making him legal in the U.S.
Moirin: My favorite little confused Fey that's run away from home in an attempt
to grow up and has managed to become way too interested in Shane, the demented
killer, while driving Conal, Megan and Gregor straight up a wall at the same
time...when will the young ones ever learn....
Fox...too sweet for her own good, must be all those
lollipops!
Ok, well, I guess I should start from the beginning. I am Fox, not really
but I ain't going to tell you my real name! :) I run Danielle (Don't forget
about me!) and Holly (thank you!). Basically, Danielle's plot is to free
herself from her old master, deal with her new life and living for a very
long time. Now, about me right! I am still in high school, so that is what
would keep me from the computer. A monster home work thing that is impossible
to do. I love to at least think of alternative ways an author could tell
the story if not write my own. I also am a voracious reader and have read
the Anita books 7 time over (probably more, but I lost count!). I also enjoy
listening to music, riding horses, camping (for three weeks up at Hell Hole
in them in the middle of now where! Yeah!!!) and I am a major movie buff!
:) I think that about sums up everything. At least I think so
Love, Luck & Lollypops,
Fox
Gil...Ben's sexy redhead!
There are two of us here at this addy. I am Gillian Fitzgerald (Welsh
pronunciation with three syllables and a hard G; I hate the English way--has
a different derivation and meaning). I'm 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Russian Jew, so
I get two persecuted minorities for the price of one, which explains my strong
streak of black humor. I have red hair, blue eyes, and Maeve is my Mary Sue
character. I'll spare you the academic credentials; let it suffice that I
am over-educated and generally over-qualified for most jobs I apply for (a
major drawback when job-hunting, I have found). I usually work as a librarian
or teacher of English, either at the college or high school level. I sold
a bunch of short stories in the early 80s, one of which was in an anthology
that won a WORLD FANTASY AWARD, and my story in it made Year's Best from
DAW (my very first sale too..)
I am semi-active SCA, a former Baroness Palatine of the Far West (I live
in the Tokyo-Yokohama area currently) which includes Japan, Okinawa, Guam
and R.O.K. To go to an event run by another group here, you usually need
a passport and a plane ticket! My periods are Cavalier France, 16th century
Europe, and Islamic world from 7th thru 13th centuries. I belllydance and
make costumes for fun. Like Mark, I am a student of esoteric philosophy and
theology, and the occult. I'm a witch in the Faerie /Celtic Shamanism Trad,
but was raised Catholic, so my demons tend to fit traditional specs. I will
also never see 40 again...
I'm married to Ben, and we have four kids--er, cats. One is named after Alex's
character Lamis. I write Maeve Desmond, Hanako Masaki, Peter Monroe, Sasha,
Sita, Rev. Bobby, Astaroth, Luc and Lorelie, and a few other minor ones as
needed.
Jason...he also writes Taj, a vampire
Hello,
I'm Jason Tanner. I write Jon Ten Rifles, our Native American Lone Ranger.
You can read about him on the Character page. (I am working on a couple other
ideas, but none have come to fruition.) I'm here to tell you about me. (I
bet Alex didn't have any trouble writing about herself.) What to say. I am
a Native Montanan, well 18 years there, so I'll call it native. I now live
in Utah. I Have played RPG's for about 20 years. I even chaired a gaming
convention a couple of times. I am not really a writer. I am a gamer. I have
also been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisim for 12 years.
It takes up most of my weekends *S*. So I obvouisly have a good imagination.
In the SCA I fight rapier have done so for two years. People tell me I'm
pretty good. *S* What else... Personal stuff? I am 29, a widower, and have
the best 3 year old Son on the face of the Earth. (I'll prove it upon a resonable
challenge.) Any questions feel free to ask.
JP...working on his masters in creative writing
A bio? What to say?
First off, I have to agree with Gil in her inadvertant message. I am a little
moody and tend to be touchy when I feel that I'm being yelled at. I'm not
sure if it comes from having receiving a virtual uterus for my work on the
online version of "Our Bodies, Ourselves". Saying I have PMS isn't a problem.
That out of the way, on with the bio.
My name is Jp. With luck, I'll get off my duff and drop the extra letters
that my parents stuck me with and change it for real at some point. I think
Jp Finian LaFond has a certain penache and not just because Finian is the
patron saint of libraries.
I'm a 32 yo single gay man living outside of Boston. I grew up Irish Catholic
(which means guilt and tasteless boiled food), but I moved past that. I love
spicy food and have an amalgamated belief system that's stolen from various
philosophys, mythos, and pop cultural icons. I've lived in New England, my
whole life and haven't really left MA. I went to college in Boston and stayed.
From my earliest memories (which for me starts in High School), I've always
wanted to write. I was always writing and reading to entertain myself; if
someone else read what I wrote and liked it that was good too. In High School,
I went on the capitalist road and decided on a degree in computer science
with an english minor. At the moment, I'm working on a masters in creative
writing sometime in the next decade.
I have a weird sense of humor and various ideas of how things might be done.
At the moment, I've got Ray Helsing (the hapless cursed police detective
who seems to be a magnet for trouble). I also have Rich 'Penn' Gwynn (annoying
in-your-face were activist), and Baird Scribner (owner of the Rialto Theatre).
They show up now and again. That's about it.
Kelly...formerly the girl known as Dilz
Ok, I don't have much of a bio, but I'm working on it! I'm only 19, gimme
a break! Alright, alright, here goes:
My name's Kelly, and as stated above I'm 19. Don't hold it against me, you
were young, too, ya know! In case you hadn't figured it out, I'm somewhat
sarcastic. But I'm also a big softie. The only religion that comes close
to aligning with my beliefs is Wicca, and if I have to get categorized about
I'll be happy to be a wiccan/pagan. I run Kerrie, everyone's favorite youngster.
She's the same age as me, and I did that because I wanted to make my character
as believable as possible-and what do I know about life after twenty anyway?
I've got some pretty good guesses, but still...
I live in sunny Florida, where the seasons go from uncomfortably hot, to
oh-my-GOD-I'm gonna die! hot, to isn't-it-supposed-to-be-October? warmth,
a few weeks of chilliness, and back to hot. Ok, it's not that bad, but close!
Unfortunately for me, I like cold weather. I'm not enrolled at school this
semester, (because I'm a slack-ass), but I will be next. I'm also in the
job market...again...oh sweet, sweet money! How fleeting your love! And beginning
trying to start a business with a friend, kinda like a mehndi/whatever we
want type deal. It's going to take a lot of work (understatement of the year).
Damn, guess I had more to say than I thought. Feel free to mail me iffen
ya gots any questions! :0)
Keri Hayes...new girl in town...not writing, just
lurking
There's a new girl in town - me! Hi! This is just an introduction to all
of you out there in Sanc... Let you all know who's reading and diggin' the
stories that your creating. I'm Keri Hayes. Young artist extordinare. Of
course I love to write 'cept I'm kinda new to this NRPG thing, so don't get
to flustered with my clumpsy attemps at doin' this. More info on me? Well
I'm still in High School (last year, Thank God!). I'm 18, 19 in June. Born
and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I live in a single parent home (my
Dad) with my bratty little sister, and two cats: Missy and Jewel.
One of my fravorite authors is Laurell K. Hamilton (can't wait 'till her
new fey series comes out). David Eddings - the belgariad; Anne McCafferey
- the rowan; damian's children; Ann Rice - queen of the damned and tale of
the body snatchers are two fraves... And that's just a few! Oh ya, I'm into
comic books - Marvel and Image mostly - Fathom, GenX, Battlechasers and Buffy
the Vampire Slayer are ones that I pick up right now.
When am I acually going to start writing? I don't know yet. If I do I'll
use an old, familiar character of mine named Annie Katz. I've written so
many short stories on her, I could make a novel. Well signing out for now,
but see you soon, K.
